Has anyone been through this experience recently who may be able to give me some tips on best way to manage builders, tradesmen, govt depts, etc.
Is it better to ask in the villages where you can see examples of renovations and ask the locals, or go straight to Larnaca, Limassol etc and employ an architect to look after the lot.
Any advice to help me avoid the pitfalls would be greatly appreciated. I am afraid of employing someone's Mother's Uncle's Cousin because he is a nice bloke and then finding out he can't build!!
Cheers.
